Housekeeper / Laundry Aide

Healthcare Services Group is hiring a Housekeeper for a long-term care setting in Okemos, Michigan. In this position, you will help keep the facility clean, sanitary, and comfortable for residents, staff, and visitors. Pay

The starting wage for this role is USD 14.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day housekeeping work, such as cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms, shared spaces, and offices.
• Keep all areas cleaned and disinfected in line with facility procedures and safety standards.
• Track cleaning work and inform the supervisor about any maintenance concerns or safety hazards.
• Apply infection-control practices and universal precautions to maintain a healthy environment.
• Build positive interactions with residents, staff, and guests while delivering courteous service.
• Handle other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or an equivalent credential is required.
• Housekeeping experience is preferred, though not mandatory.
• Must maintain a positive approach and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership while completing daily work.
• Must comply with COVID-19 vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand, sit, bend, and walk for long periods.
• Must be able to complete routine, repetitive tasks consistently.
• Must be able to work around cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Must be able to follow spoken and written directions and perform repetitive duties each day.
• Must live within the service area.
