Role overview

This is an hourly contract position for a Grocery Shopper Expert working remotely from the United Kingdom. The work commitment is flexible, ranging from 10 to 40 hours each week, and pay is offered at $35 to $50 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Choose and source grocery items for both retail and wholesale use.
• Study market movement, customer demand, and what competitors are offering.
• Work with suppliers on pricing and agreements to improve margin and profitability.
• Maintain supplier partnerships so quality and stock availability remain steady.
• Track inventory closely and take early action when shortages or stock risks appear.
• Create buying approaches tailored to different product categories.
• Share updates, recommendations, and decisions clearly with teams across the business.

Requirements

• Prior background in retail, wholesale, procurement, or grocery buying.
• Proven ability in product selection, negotiation, and purchasing strategy.
• Strong analytical ability to assess market conditions and consumer trends.
• Experience handling supplier relationships and contract discussions.
• Clear written and spoken communication skills.
• Good inventory control knowledge and practice.
• Capacity to work independently in a remote and fast-moving setting.
