Role Overview
This is a full-time, on-site General Dentist position in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. In this role, you will assess patients through routine dental examinations, identify oral health concerns, and create treatment plans that suit individual needs. The position includes restorative care such as fillings, crowns, and bridges, along with extractions and basic endodontic work. You will also support preventive dentistry, educate patients on oral hygiene, work closely with assistants and other team members, maintain thorough clinical documentation, follow infection control standards, and ensure each patient has a respectful and positive experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out regular dental checkups and evaluate oral health conditions.
- Diagnose dental issues and prepare suitable treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Provide restorative procedures such as fillings, crowns, and bridges.
- Perform tooth extractions and basic endodontic treatments when required.
- Deliver preventive dental care and advise patients on maintaining proper oral hygiene.
- Coordinate effectively with dental assistants and other clinic staff.
- Keep clinical records accurate, complete, and up to date.
- Follow infection prevention, hygiene, and regulatory compliance protocols.
- Ensure patients receive a courteous, comfortable, and reassuring experience.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A valid BDS degree, or an equivalent qualification, from an accredited institution is required.
- Current registration with the relevant dental council is necessary.
- You should be comfortable handling routine dental procedures, including examinations, restorations, extractions, and basic endodontics.
- Strong diagnostic judgment and the ability to design evidence-based care plans are important.
- You must be able to communicate clearly and empathetically with patients of different ages and backgrounds.
- A strong commitment to infection control, accurate documentation, and compliance with clinical regulations is expected.
- Willingness to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary dental team is essential.
- Familiarity with digital records, imaging tools, and modern dental technology is preferred.
- Previous exposure to clinical practice, internships, or work in a dental clinic or hospital is an advantage.
- A habit of continuous learning and interest in current developments in general and cosmetic dentistry is valued.
