Role Overview
The Executive Assistant to the General Manager is a high-impact support role designed to increase the General Manager’s capacity. As the company scales, the role will help manage a growing volume of decisions, projects, stakeholders, and operational details so leadership can stay focused on strategy and growth.
This position goes beyond routine administrative support. It blends coordination, operational execution, and exposure to core business activity across the organization. The person in this role will help determine priorities, keep work advancing, and maintain alignment across the business.
Executive Prioritization and Workflow
- Sort, manage, and prioritize a busy inbox and incoming requests.
- Assess what requires immediate action, what can be delegated, and what should be followed up later.
- Track down updates across the team so tasks are completed on time.
Project Coordination and Initiatives
- Support the launch and coordination of new initiatives, including early planning stages.
- Bring together the right stakeholders, clarify next steps, and monitor progress.
- Keep projects moving without requiring constant oversight from the General Manager.
Business Visibility and Communication
- Maintain visibility into company priorities, deadlines, and dependencies.
- Help leadership stay aligned on progress, risks, and blockers.
- Ensure the General Manager receives the right information at the right time.
Leadership Rhythm
- Assist with leadership meetings, planning sessions, and recurring coordination.
- Track commitments and ensure decisions are followed through with action.
Operational Support
- Manage calendars, travel arrangements, and everyday logistics.
- Help organize team offsites and internal workflows.
- Coordinate communication and follow-ups across teams.
Requirements
- Experience supporting a founder, CEO, General Manager, or other senior business leader.
- Background in a startup or other fast-growing company.
- Ability to handle several projects and changing priorities at once.
- Strong independent judgment and prioritization skills.
- Experience working across teams, time zones, and different functions.
- Comfortable managing confidential information.
- Working knowledge of Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, and project management tools.
- Comfort with using AI tools to improve productivity and workflows.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment where structure is limited and priorities shift often.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in technology, AI, SaaS, developer ecosystems, or events.
- Exposure to company growth, operations, partnerships, or expansion work.
- Experience preparing reports, planning sessions, or business reviews.
- Ability to create structure or processes in an evolving organization.
- Formal project management training or practical project management experience.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual base salary of $80,000 to $100,000 depending on experience.
