A commercial interior fit-out contractor in Dubai is hiring an Estimator to join its pre-construction team. The company delivers workplace projects across the UAE and is looking for someone who can build competitive tenders, assess project costs accurately, and work in close coordination with design and delivery functions.

This position suits a professional with hands-on experience in commercial office fit-out estimating who is comfortable reviewing tender packages, comparing supplier and subcontractor pricing, and contributing to value-focused bid preparation.

Location and compensation

Based in Dubai, UAE, this role offers a monthly salary in the range of AED 8,000 to AED 15,000, depending on experience.

Key responsibilities

• Study tender drawings, specifications, BOQs, and all related project documents.
• Build precise cost estimates for commercial office fit-out assignments.
• Request, compare, and assess quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Break down labour, material, and equipment costs for tender pricing.
• Prepare detailed pricing sheets and support tender submissions.
• Spot opportunities for value engineering while maintaining required quality standards.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, and project management teams during the tender stage.
• Participate in site inspections and pre-tender meetings when needed.
• Keep cost records and supplier pricing information current.
• Support commercial discussions and negotiations with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Help with transition activities from estimating to project delivery after a successful bid.

Requirements

• At least 2 to 5 years of estimating experience in commercial office fit-out or interior contracting.
• UAE experience is preferred, though candidates with strong international fit-out exposure may also be considered.
• Solid knowledge of commercial interior construction techniques and materials.
• Ability to interpret architectural and technical drawings.
• Experience preparing BOQs and cost plans.
• Strong commercial judgment and negotiation ability.
• Excellent numerical and analytical capability.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Capability to manage several tenders at once and work to tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel is essential.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam or similar PDF measurement tools, PlanSwift, CostX, or comparable estimating software is an advantage.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Commercially aware, organised, and methodical in approach.
• Strong communication and people skills.
• Effective team player across both technical and commercial groups.
• Able to perform under pressure and meet tender timelines.
• Positive mindset with a willingness to learn and develop.
