About the Role
A US-headquartered product SaaS company focused on helping organizations reduce energy use and support sustainability is hiring an Engineering Manager. The business, founded in 2019, operates globally with a workforce of around 500 people. This position is based in Pune and follows a remote working model.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Guide, coach, and develop a strong team of software engineers.
- Ensure delivery of reliable, high-quality software projects within agreed timelines.
- Work closely with Product Managers, Architects, and other teams to shape technical direction.
- Manage Agile delivery, planning, staffing, and project risks.
- Promote engineering standards across code quality, CI/CD, security, and cloud-native practices.
- Keep a healthy balance between new feature work, platform upgrades, technical debt reduction, and production support.
- Build a team culture centered on accountability, teamwork, innovation, and ongoing improvement.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should bring 12+ years of software development experience, including 3–5 years leading engineering teams. A strong background in Python, along with React and/or Angular, is important. Experience in building and scaling enterprise SaaS products, APIs, and microservices is expected, as is a solid grasp of architecture, design patterns, and cloud-native engineering. Hands-on exposure to AWS and/or GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, and DevOps workflows will be valuable. The role also calls for familiarity with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, monitoring, logging, and observability tools such as Datadog, Grafana, and CloudWatch. Comfort with Jira, Confluence, Agile delivery, strong communication, stakeholder management, and structured problem-solving are key.
Eligibility
Candidates with a B.Tech / B.E. in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Computer Science and Business System, Electronics and Computer Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics, Electrical, or any other graduate background may apply.
Compensation
The position offers an annual salary in the range of INR 35,00,000 to INR 55,00,000.
