Position summary

Appearance Technology Group is looking for a senior ecommerce leader to own and accelerate its established online revenue channels, with Amazon and Shopify as the main priorities. The role is centered on refining and executing ecommerce plans that increase sales, strengthen the customer journey, improve marketplace efficiency, and broaden the company’s footprint on newer digital marketplaces such as Walmart.com, TikTok Shop, and similar platforms.

The selected leader will partner closely with marketing, operations, customer service, and outside agency teams to improve performance across channels and elevate brand visibility.

This position may be based in either Farmington, MI or Santa Clarita, CA.

Key responsibilities

  • Shape and advance the overall ecommerce roadmap to grow online revenue and profitability.
  • Assess and pursue new digital sales opportunities, including Walmart.com, TikTok Shop, and other relevant marketplaces.
  • Build channel growth plans that expand sales across multiple platforms while keeping the brand message consistent.
  • Oversee Amazon performance across product listings, search optimization, pricing, promotions, inventory health, and customer experience.
  • Collaborate with external Amazon advertising and media partners to manage spend, strengthen campaigns, and improve ROAS, TACOS, and related performance measures.
  • Review Amazon data, trends, and competitor activity to spot risks and growth opportunities.
  • Maintain compliance with Amazon policies and marketplace best practices.
  • Direct Shopify and DTC operations, including merchandising, launches, promotional setup, content updates, and conversion improvements.
  • Work with marketing teams to increase traffic, acquisition, retention, and email/SMS performance.
  • Analyze shopper behavior and site metrics to improve user experience and conversion rates.
  • Monitor and communicate ecommerce KPIs such as revenue, conversion rate, traffic, ROAS, TACOS, customer acquisition cost, and marketplace results.
  • Translate data into actionable recommendations that strengthen channel performance.
  • Build forecasting and budget plans for ecommerce initiatives and advertising investment.
  • Lead the team responsible for day-to-day Amazon Seller/Vendor Central and Shopify storefront operations.
  • Contribute as a core member of the ATG leadership team.
  • Coach and develop team members to stay customer-focused, grow the channel, and make data-backed decisions.
  • Partner with operations and supply chain teams to support inventory planning and fulfillment performance.
  • Coordinate with creative and marketing teams to ensure consistent branding and promotional execution across all ecommerce channels.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, agencies, and platform contacts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Ecommerce, or a closely related discipline is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of ecommerce leadership experience, with major emphasis on Amazon and web sales.
  • Solid knowledge of Amazon advertising, marketplace operations, and ecommerce analytics.
  • Background working with third-party agencies or partners that handle Amazon advertising spend and digital marketplace media.
  • Working knowledge of Walmart Marketplace, TikTok Shop, and other newer ecommerce platforms.
  • Comfort using ecommerce analytics tools, reporting systems, and Shopify ecosystem applications.
  • Strong capabilities in leadership, communication, project management, and organization.
  • Highly strategic and analytical approach with a strong focus on results.
  • Experience growing multi-channel ecommerce businesses is preferred.
  • Understanding of SEO, paid media, conversion optimization, and digital merchandising is preferred.
  • Ability to perform well in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment is preferred.
