Role Overview
The Data Analyst position sits within the Technology department and is a permanent, on-site role based in the Greater Montreal Metropolitan Area, Canada. The role reports to the Software Engineering Manager and focuses on building and maintaining the analytics layer and customer-facing reporting for the Compliance Pro platform.
As part of the Reporting team, you will turn complex compliance and security requirements into reliable dashboards and tabular reports that are useful for end users. The position covers the full delivery cycle, including data modeling, creating and updating dashboards and widgets, choosing the most appropriate visual presentation for the data, and ensuring reports remain accurate, fast, and aligned with what is shown in CPro.
This is a highly client-oriented role. Much of the work involves developing and updating custom reports for specific operators, investigating production issues, and making sure mission-critical reports stay current and dependable.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Create and refine client-specific dashboards and reports.
- Translate data into clear, decision-ready insights through effective storytelling.
- Ensure Sisense reports match production application data in both numbers and formatting.
- Investigate production incidents and work toward resolution.
- Work closely with Product Owners, QA teams, internal stakeholders, and customer-facing teams to sharpen acceptance criteria, clarify data logic, and validate new or updated reports.
- Define and uphold consistent reporting standards across the Sisense environment and reporting products.
- Partner with engineering and data teams to identify and model new data sources when required.
- Maintain clear technical documentation to support upkeep and onboarding.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, manage work in Jira, and provide estimates, progress updates, and clear deliverables for QAT.
Required Experience and Qualifications
- Hands-on experience developing analytics solutions in Sisense or a similar BI tool, including complex dashboards and tabular reports with filters, widgets, and custom fields.
- Strong SQL skills and practical experience in reporting-focused data modeling, including joins, aggregations, calculated fields, data type conversions, and performance tuning.
- Proven ability to manage critical production reports, including comparing source-system data with output data, fixing data and formatting issues, and maintaining high-stakes operational reports.
- Ability to understand detailed business specifications and convert them into accurate reporting solutions.
- Strong data storytelling ability and solid knowledge of reporting best practices.
- Experience reviewing and improving existing Sisense reports.
- Comfort working closely with Product Owners, QAT, and customer-facing teams to validate dashboard behavior, filters, and outputs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to spot issues across multiple layers of data.
- Advanced English is required because the role involves regular spoken and written communication with clients, partners, and/or international subsidiaries.
