Cybersecurity Specialist

Role overview

This is a remote hourly contract opportunity based in Canada, expected to run for about 2 months. The compensation range is $70 to $90 per hour.

Key work

• Examine content for possible security weaknesses and recurring threat signals.
• Tackle and assess advanced cybersecurity challenges with practical, real-world relevance.
• Help strengthen model reasoning related to security risks and attack techniques.
• Collaborate asynchronously with subject-matter experts in systems programming and cybersecurity.
• Assist with classification and evaluation processes tied to security research.

Requirements

• Hands-on background in low-level programming languages such as C, C++, or Java.
• Solid knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals, including web security and attack vectors.
• Working familiarity with vulnerability classification systems such as OWASP or CVEs.
• Strong accuracy, attention to detail, and pattern-recognition skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication abilities.
• Must be able to clear an enhanced background check.
