In this role, you will support regulatory compliance and operational performance across customer onboarding, screening, and transaction monitoring. Key responsibilities

• Handle customer onboarding and screening workflows, including due diligence checks on both companies and individuals across several regulated entities.
• Take ownership of transaction monitoring activities and help improve them so they can support increasing payment volumes and changing customer journeys while still meeting compliance requirements.
• Create, maintain, and refine standard operating procedures for KYC, screening, transaction monitoring, and broader regulatory compliance processes.
• Work with compliance and risk partners on case investigations, escalations, suspicious activity checks, and regulatory reporting tasks.
• Assist with internal and external compliance audits by assembling evidence, explaining procedures, and keeping the team prepared for reviews.
• Spot opportunities to streamline and automate operational work, partnering with product and engineering teams to deliver scalable improvements.
• Review operational data to support better decisions, reinforce controls, and improve the overall effectiveness of compliance operations.
• Help strengthen a first-line compliance function that meets regulatory expectations without sacrificing efficiency or customer experience.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in KYC, onboarding, compliance operations, or a similar role in fintech, insurtech, financial services, or other regulated settings.
• Strong understanding of customer due diligence, screening, transaction monitoring, and compliance frameworks.
• Very high attention to detail, with the ability to detect, assess, and escalate potential compliance concerns and warning signs.
• Proven experience creating, improving, and documenting operational processes in fast-paced, changing organizations.
• Strong analytical and data-handling ability, including the capability to draw insights from large datasets and support informed decisions.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with different stakeholders.
• Comfort working in high-growth environments where priorities, responsibilities, and processes can change quickly.
• Self-directed approach with strong ownership, accountability, and a clear focus on execution and continuous improvement.
