Role overview
DHL Supply Chain is seeking a Class 2 HGV Driver to help keep deliveries moving reliably and safely. The position is based in Allington, Kent (ME16 0LE) and is offered on a permanent full-time basis. Newly qualified drivers will also be considered.
This role is part of a wider logistics operation and involves transporting bulky home-delivery items with the support of a driver's mate.
Pay and contract details
Pay is £45,876.34 per year. The role sits at RCS grade P and requires 48 hours of work each week.
Shift pattern: a 3-week rota made up of 4 on / 2 off, 4 on / 2 off, and 5 on / 2 off, with a 5:30am start time.
Main duties
- Transport large household goods such as beds, mattresses and wardrobes to customer homes, working alongside a driver's mate.
- Carry out deliveries across Kent, Surrey and South London.
- Drive safely and efficiently while following Drivers' Hours rules and Working Time Directive requirements.
- Work in line with health and safety standards, including the Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations.
- Complete routine vehicle checks.
