Role Summary

The Assistant Manager – HRBP will oversee critical employee lifecycle activities and day-to-day HR operations. This includes onboarding, employee engagement, confirmations, exits, HRMS administration, reporting, compliance assistance, and employee relations. The position calls for excellent coordination, process ownership, stakeholder handling, and operational discipline to deliver a smooth employee journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of the onboarding journey for new hires, including documentation, profile creation, stakeholder coordination, introductions, induction support, training scheduling, and leadership connects.
  • Maintain employee information and records in ZOHO HRMS with accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage exit processing from resignation through final closure, including notice-period coordination, clearances, documentation, settlement-linked relieving and experience letters, and proper exit classification.
  • Plan and support employee engagement initiatives across teams and locations by preparing calendars and coordinating activities.
  • Own the employee confirmation process, track 30-, 45-, and 90-day checkpoints, follow up on discussions, and issue confirmation letters on time.
  • Coordinate HR connects for office and site teams, conduct new joiner interactions, and address employee concerns with appropriate escalation where required.
  • Respond to HRMS-related employee queries within three working days and keep the system, records, and document repositories updated.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly KPI dashboards, along with HR reports and operational analytics as needed.
  • Support compensation and benefits administration, including medical insurance endorsements, insurance records, and payroll input data.
  • Monitor attendance, leave regularization, and timesheet completion, ensuring timely closure of records.
  • Issue employee letters and other HR documents while supporting documentation requirements as needed.
  • Assist with statutory compliance documentation and coordinate with internal teams for audit and compliance support.
  • Support the Learning & Development team in skill mapping, mid-year reviews, appraisal documentation, KRA tracking, and technical skill mapping.
  • Draft and circulate policy updates, employee communications, FAQs, and awareness material to support policy rollouts.

Requirements

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in HR Generalist or HRBP roles.
  • A graduate or postgraduate qualification in Human Resources from a reputed institution.
  • Demonstrated capability to run HR operations and employee lifecycle processes end to end without close supervision.
  • Strong ability to manage stakeholders, build relationships, and communicate effectively.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Excel and HR reporting tools.
  • Strong organization, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
  • Experience in real estate, construction, or project-led environments will be considered an advantage.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required.
  • Hands-on familiarity with ZOHO HRMS or similar HR operations systems.
