Role overview
Join a commercial team focused on building enduring customer partnerships and creating measurable value through construction solutions. In this B2B consultative sales position, you will work closely with major customers, understand their operational needs, and recommend solutions that improve outcomes. The role also involves field visits using Hilti’s red car, equipped with the company’s latest products, so you can address customer challenges directly and contribute to making construction better.
Key responsibilities
- Create and execute growth plans for strategic accounts, converting customers into long-term business partners.
- Develop trusted relationships with key stakeholders and lead account engagement from the top level down.
- Identify fresh business opportunities within your assigned territory and actively pursue them.
- Visit customer worksites and offices to assess requirements and provide practical technical guidance and support.
- Conduct product demonstrations and seminars that clearly show the value of the solutions offered.
- Use the CRM system to plan sales activities, maintain strong data quality, and improve call effectiveness and productivity.
- Keep accurate records of client interactions, follow-ups, and pipeline opportunities in the CRM.
- Deliver against sales goals and contribute to revenue growth through consistent customer engagement.
- Oversee credit collection activity while keeping customer satisfaction high.
- Work closely with teams across materials management, logistics, credit, marketing, technical services, and customer service to ensure smooth client delivery.
- Track market developments and competitor movements to stay ahead of changes in the territory.
Candidate profile
- Educational background in Engineering, preferably Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical, or a related discipline; an MBA or PGDM is an added advantage.
- Previous exposure to sales or business development is preferred.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- A consultative, solution-oriented approach to selling and problem solving.
- Strong drive to achieve results while working well in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-moving commercial setting.
- Good business planning skills to make the best use of time with customers and improve productivity.
