Role Overview

Saudi Mechanical Industries Co. is looking for a Valves Sales Engineer to drive business growth across assigned territories in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on building pipeline, developing customer relationships, and converting sales opportunities into confirmed orders for valve products and related technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create fresh business opportunities and qualify leads within the designated regions and market segments.
  • Promote SMI Energy’s valve range and partner solutions to end users, EPC contractors, OEMs, contractors, and industrial buyers.
  • Identify incoming inquiries, pursue project leads, and follow through consistently until opportunities turn into booked orders.
  • Visit customers regularly and build durable relationships across the market.
  • Spot and pursue business in both project-based and MRO segments.
  • Prepare techno-commercial proposals in collaboration with the technical support team.
  • Track quotations, clarify bids technically, secure approvals, and negotiate commercial terms through to award.
  • Contribute to sales targets, order intake goals, and margin performance.
  • Observe market movement, competitor activity, pricing shifts, and changing customer needs.
  • Explore new sectors, applications, and client accounts to expand the business.
  • Support vendor registration and approval processes with key end users and EPC organizations.
  • Represent the company professionally in meetings, technical sessions, exhibitions, and industry events.
  • Work closely with technical partners and internal teams on product selection, application support, and technical clarifications.
  • Build strong knowledge of the valves portfolio, including specifications, applications, and relevant industry standards.
  • Deliver product presentations, technical awareness sessions, and solution recommendations to customers.
  • Keep the sales pipeline, visit logs, and opportunity records accurate and up to date.
  • Share regular progress updates on sales activity, market developments, and forecast opportunities.
  • Follow company procedures and commercial governance standards at all times.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related technical field is required.
  • Applicants should have 5 to 7 years of experience selling industrial valves, Oil & Gas solutions, or similar industrial products.
  • Hands-on exposure to Ball, Plug, Control, and Butterfly valves is preferred.
  • Prior experience in the Saudi Arabian industrial and project market is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with EPC contractors, end users, and industrial client environments is important.
  • A valid driving licence is required, along with a willingness to travel throughout KSA.
