UI/UX Developer (Junior/Senior)

Role overview

The UI/UX Developer will shape the look, feel, and day-to-day performance of ecommerce web pages, while also supporting front-end functionality, upkeep, and continuous improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Create and refine the visual presentation and user experience of ecommerce pages, making sure design and performance work well together.
• Implement design concepts in collaboration with designers and project managers.
• Coordinate with backend developers so the front end integrates smoothly with backend systems.
• Develop clean, reusable, and efficient code.
• Support the creation, updating, and upkeep of marketing content on the website.
• Check that pages work correctly across different browsers.
• Contribute ideas and solutions for design challenges and technical concerns.
• Handle other project-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required background and technical profile

• A Diploma or Degree in Web Design, Information Technology, User Interface, or a closely related field.
• Minimum 2 years of practical experience using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience working with content management systems such as ContentStack, Salesforce CMS, or similar platforms.
• Strong working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, AJAX, XML, and browser compatibility methods.
• Ability to use Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver, or comparable prototyping tools.
• Comfort working with APIs in application development.
• Exposure to Agile and Scrum delivery methods.
• Solid understanding of web standards and internet standards.
• Knowledge of image optimization and SEO is a plus.
• Experience in, or a strong interest in, the fashion industry is preferred.
