What you will do

  • Partner with outside designers and internal merchandising and operations teams to create and revise fixture layout plans.
  • Assess submitted proposals and help choose general contractors and architects by comparing scope, cost, timing, and credentials.
  • Check and approve detailed construction schedules, permitting steps, and deliverables submitted by general contractors.
  • Review drawing sets against MINISO’s global standards as well as local operational, design, and quality needs; share feedback with the Head of Store Development and make sure submissions are complete.
  • Organize, maintain, and update store drawing files and project records.
  • Assist the Legal team with lease setup by clarifying construction criteria and technical requirements.
  • Visit store sites to oversee fixture installation and provide direction to contractors.
  • Coordinate and close out maintenance needs from active stores.
  • Support renovation and brand image upgrade projects from concept through execution.
  • Handle project payment submissions and related internal finance workflows for store development and maintenance work.
  • Make sure all work follows local building regulations, safety rules, and jurisdictional requirements.
  • Carry out final site inspections with the general contractor to verify readiness for opening, including quality, code compliance, and maintenance standards.
  • Run post-project reviews to compare budget and schedule performance, identify root causes of variances, and improve future processes.
  • Take on other duties that may reasonably be assigned.

Qualifications

Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architectural Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or a closely related discipline.

Experience of 1–2 years in construction, store development, project coordination, or a similar field is preferred.

A valid driver’s license and a willingness to travel are required.

The role calls for solid understanding of architectural, engineering, and construction standards, along with proven project management experience in construction and design settings.

Formal project management training is mandatory, and an architectural or project management certification is considered an advantage.

Working knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, or comparable design tools is a plus, and candidates must be comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong communication, organization, and project management abilities are essential, along with the capacity to handle several projects at once across different levels of complexity.
