Position Overview
The Steward role is a full-time, non-management position within the Food and Beverage & Culinary function at Shura Island, The Red Sea, Hanak, Saudi Arabia. This job focuses on maintaining cleanliness and supporting essential hotel operations across several departments, including the kitchen, food and beverage, and laundry areas.
Key Duties
You will help keep guest and back-of-house areas clean and functional by handling tasks such as preparing spotless linen and clean dining ware, using and caring for dishwashing equipment and other cleaning tools, and moving dishware or linens throughout the property as needed.
The position also requires you to follow workplace safety practices, uphold company procedures, maintain quality and presentation standards, and ensure a professional appearance and manner at all times. You will be expected to build positive working relationships, cooperate with colleagues and departments to meet shared goals, and communicate effectively and respectfully.
Additional responsibilities include reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to a supervisor, and carrying out other reasonable duties assigned by management.
Working Conditions
This role involves physical activity, including moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. You should also be prepared to stand, sit, or walk for long periods and to bend, twist, reach overhead, stoop, and work below the knees as required by the job.
Qualifications
No high school diploma or GED is required. The employer does not ask for prior related work experience, supervisory experience, or any license or certification.
