Descrição da vaga
Role overview
Lime is a micromobility company working to create a transportation system that is shared, affordable, and free of carbon emissions. Operating in nearly 30 countries across five continents, the company has supported more than one billion rides and is recognized by Time Magazine as one of the 100 Most Influential Companies.
In this role, you will serve as the Bay Area region lead for operations. You will represent Lime on the ground with municipal stakeholders, community members, and local businesses, helping improve safety, increase ridership, and better understand rider needs. Internally, you will act as the regional operations voice, partnering closely with government relations, central operations, product, and other teams to shape market strategy and improve fleet performance. You will also oversee the regional P&L and lead senior warehouse staff through coaching, guidance, and performance support.
This is an onsite role and requires presence at the workplace during scheduled business hours.
Key responsibilities
- Lead a large or complex regional operations team and ensure the market consistently meets or exceeds operating targets and KPIs.
- Oversee warehouse operations with a focus on operational quality and compliance, working closely with Facilities and Environment, Health & Safety teams.
- Serve as the main operations specialist for the region, driving end-to-end improvements, advising cross-functional teams, and taking part in strategic conversations with external stakeholders such as city officials.
- Review regional performance regularly, identify trends, and turn findings into actions that improve results and efficiency.
- Build and execute a regional operations plan covering vehicle deployment, workforce planning, P&L oversight, RFP preparation, and competitor tracking.
- Recruit, develop, onboard, and train operational talent for the warehouse environment.
- Work alongside Government Relations to meet local officials, business owners, and customers, ensuring compliance and strengthening community relationships.
- Lead rider and vehicle safety initiatives so safety remains the top priority.
- Help maintain a workplace culture that is positive, inclusive, and safe.
What we're looking for
- Strong spoken and written English communication skills.
- At least 5 years of experience in operations, consulting, engineering, or a related field.
- Proven success in driving operational excellence and implementing improvements.
- Prior experience managing P&L ownership.
- Ability to interpret metrics and KPIs and identify the levers that influence performance.
- Good understanding of the local area you will support.
- Comfort working in a warehouse setting.
- At least 3 years of people management experience, including hiring, developing, and motivating warehouse staff.
- Strong bias for action, resilience, and the ability to make decisions in fast-moving and uncertain situations.
- Analytical approach with solid understanding of real-time marketplace dynamics, including supply and demand, and the ability to use data to create clear narratives and reports.
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills; SQL knowledge is a strong advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment when handling complex issues and ambiguous situations while working cross-functionally.
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders using data-backed insights and long- and short-term operational recommendations.
- Curious mindset with a desire to understand customer needs and dig into root causes.
- Detail-oriented, process-focused, self-driven, energetic, and eager to learn and grow in the role.
- Candidates must be located within 1 hour of a Lime warehouse.
Benefits and compensation
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage options, along with company-paid life and disability insurance and employer-funded mental health support.
- 401(k) retirement plan with pre-tax and Roth options.
- Health Savings Account access with a monthly company contribution.
- Paid parental leave for both birthing and non-birthing parents, plus fertility and family-forming benefits.
- Unlimited vacation, paid leave, and 10 company holidays.
- Free use of Lime vehicles in participating cities, monthly phone allowance, dedicated learning and development days, and access to partner perks such as One Medical, Wellhub, and Headspace.
- Base pay range: $109K to $140K. Final pay is determined using objective factors such as location, relevant skills, and experience. Depending on the role, total compensation may also include discretionary annual performance bonus opportunities and equity, subject to plan terms and eligibility.
