Job Summary
This role is focused on the operation, upkeep, testing, and client handover of security systems. The engineer will make sure the supporting infrastructure needed for reliable site performance is in place, including networking, CCTV, access control systems, intrusion detection systems, and power supply arrangements, so that all systems run smoothly at the location.
Key Responsibilities
- Track fault logs regularly, diagnose issues, carry out root cause analysis, and document the results.
- Coordinate with clients, IT teams, and other stakeholders to close faults and keep systems operating correctly.
- Manage system maintenance tasks such as firmware updates, security patching, and configuration tuning for better performance.
- Maintain accurate records for faults, planned preventive maintenance activities, and callouts.
- Ensure appropriate network security controls are applied and that security systems and user procedures are maintained.
- Recommend system enhancements and upgrades to clients, and deliver refresher training when required.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, monitor system health, and guide technicians during deployments and repair work.
Education and Experience
The role calls for a bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Telecommunication, or IT, along with a Physics background. Candidates should also have 3 years of experience working with security systems in total or turn-around projects.
Certifications and Technical Knowledge
Preferred qualifications include Cisco CCNA, CCNP, BCNE, and certifications or hands-on knowledge in CCTV platforms such as Milestone, Genetec, and Axis, as well as access control solutions like LENEL, KERISYS, and PAXTON. Familiarity with biometrics, barriers, bollards, road blockers, spike bumps, ANPR, and video analytics is also expected.

The position involves ensuring reliable security system operations, maintaining infrastructure readiness, coordinating technical fixes, and supporting client-facing maintenance activities.
