Role Overview
Metazyber Technologies is hiring a Senior Linux Administrator to manage and support enterprise-grade Linux systems. This position requires deep experience in large-scale Linux administration, especially across Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Red Hat Satellite, VMware-based environments, and Microsoft Azure.
Core Responsibilities
- Provide administration and operational support for RHEL and Oracle Linux servers.
- Oversee Red Hat Satellite activities such as patch deployment, provisioning, content administration, and compliance tracking.
- Deploy, operate, and resolve issues for Linux workloads hosted in Microsoft Azure.
- Carry out Linux system administration across VMware and Azure environments.
- Handle operating system patching, security strengthening, performance optimization, and technical troubleshooting.
- Administer Linux storage, networking, user permissions, and system-level security controls.
- Contribute to incident, problem, and change management processes.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation and standard operational procedures.
Required Expertise
- At least 8 years of professional Linux administration experience.
- Practical, hands-on knowledge of RHEL and Red Hat Satellite.
- Experience managing Linux servers in Microsoft Azure.
- Working knowledge of Ansible and Bash scripting.
- Background in Linux patching, security management, and performance tuning.
- Strong diagnostic ability and analytical problem-solving skills.
Preferred Background
- Familiarity with Oracle Linux, RHEL, and other Linux distributions.
- Experience managing Linux virtual machines on VMware vSphere.
- Exposure to Linux workloads in Microsoft Azure.
- Understanding of KVM virtualization is considered an advantage.
Preferred Certifications
- RHCSA or RHCE
- Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104)
- ITIL Foundation certification
