About the Role

The Senior Director, Strategy will lead Slalom’s market-facing strategy work in New Zealand and act as a key driver of local solutions. This is a core leadership position focused on building the firm’s strategic capability in-market and turning business priorities into outcomes that matter for clients.

You will partner closely with the local leadership team and engage directly with senior executives and board members. The role calls for someone who can turn complex business problems into practical transformation and technology roadmaps. The emphasis is on connecting business goals with technology enablement, especially in areas such as AI and data, and on shaping the narrative of transformation so clients can understand the path from their current state to their future state.

What You Will Bring

• Senior-level leadership presence with the confidence and authority to influence executives and board stakeholders.
• Strong experience leading large-scale digital transformation programs and explaining those journeys in a way clients can relate to.
• A business-led approach to strategy, with the ability to show how data, AI, ERP, and similar technologies improve performance measures and commercial results.
• Background in professional services or consulting, with a clear understanding of how to operate and grow a consultancy.
• Exposure to customer experience or service design, which would help develop and expand these offerings in New Zealand.
• Comfort working in uncertain, fast-moving environments and the capability to move initiatives from strategy into execution.
• Domain knowledge in finance or supply chain would be a strong advantage.
