Descrição da vaga
Role overview
This position focuses on protecting product quality by validating software behavior, reliability, and performance before release. The QA Engineer / Software Tester works with development, product, and business stakeholders to uncover defects, confirm that features behave as intended, and make sure the application aligns with business needs and quality expectations.
What you will do
- Create, refine, and run test plans, test cases, and test scripts across functional, integration, system, regression, usability, API, and performance testing.
- Carry out both manual and automated testing to check functionality, stability, and compatibility across platforms and environments.
- Log, categorize, prioritize, and monitor defects through defect tracking tools.
- Investigate root causes, partner with developers on fixes, validate bug resolutions, and repeat regression checks to confirm no existing features are affected.
- Take part in the full SDLC by reviewing business and technical requirements, shaping test strategy, assisting with release validation, and encouraging a quality-first mindset.
- Support test automation efforts, CI/CD workflows, quality reporting, and ongoing improvements to testing standards and processes.
- Work closely with engineers, product managers, business analysts, UX designers, and other stakeholders to ensure functional, performance, security, and usability goals are met.
- Prepare testing records, quality summaries, release-readiness notes, and related documentation to support decision-making.
Qualifications and skills
The role calls for a solid understanding of software testing approaches, QA practices, SDLC, Agile delivery, and defect handling. You should be comfortable planning and executing both manual and automated testing strategies, and familiar with test management tools, bug tracking systems, automation frameworks, API testing tools, and core testing techniques.
Exposure to version control, CI/CD pipelines, performance testing, database testing, web and mobile applications, REST APIs, system integration, software architecture, and quality standards will be useful. Strong analytical thinking, root-cause analysis, attention to detail, clear communication, and the ability to manage several testing tasks in a fast-moving team environment are important for success in this role.
