Role Overview

HONSEI BUILDER is looking for a Purchasing Assistant in Singapore to support day-to-day procurement activities and keep sourcing, purchasing, and supply coordination running smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and assess suppliers, then work with them to secure good-quality products and services at competitive rates.
  • Handle RFQs, compare quotations, and negotiate on pricing, delivery timing, and contract conditions.
  • Create and release Purchase Orders promptly, then track order progress and delivery schedules.
  • Keep an eye on stock availability and coordinate replenishment so operational and project needs are met.
  • Check supplier invoices against PR, PO, and DO supporting documents before sending approved invoices to Finance for payment.
  • Arrange logistics, shipping, and delivery for goods coming from local and overseas vendors.
  • Keep procurement files, supplier details, and related records accurate and aligned with company procedures and ISO requirements.
  • Work closely with internal teams, suppliers, vendors, and contractors to ensure purchasing activities stay on track.
  • Take on additional duties assigned by Management when required.

Requirements

  • A Diploma qualification or an equivalent credential is required.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in procurement or purchasing is preferred, especially in the Construction or Engineering sector.
  • Solid knowledge of procurement and purchasing workflows is needed.
  • Strong ability to negotiate, stay organized, and follow up effectively.
  • Careful, detail-focused, and capable of handling several tasks at once.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in dealing with people across different levels.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and procurement-related software or systems.
  • Able to work on your own as well as collaboratively in a busy, fast-moving environment.
