Project Manager

Role overview

A Dubai-based opportunity is open for a Project Manager focused on construction and fit-out delivery. The position sits within the Support Service function, which reports to the COO, and supports the wider bank across all locations. The core objective is to plan, coordinate, execute, and review projects related to building and branch development while balancing cost, time, scope, and quality.

What you will do

• Take ownership of fit-out projects from launch through handover, including planning, design coordination, procurement, execution, and final closure.
• Work closely with internal teams such as Corporate Real Estate, Facilities, IT, and Security, as well as external contractors, consultants, and suppliers to keep delivery on track.
• Create, monitor, and adjust project schedules, budgets, and milestones so they remain aligned with organizational standards and goals.
• Track work on site for progress, quality, safety, and project risks, then apply corrective measures whenever needed.
• Prepare timely project status reports and dashboards for senior leadership and escalate concerns without delay.
• Direct project and facilities teams in line with company policies and procedures.
• Ensure all required project records, including agreements, contracts, and approvals, are completed and maintained properly.
• Manage financial aspects of projects, including budget sign-offs, cash flow oversight, and cost control.
• Follow internal approval processes, audit expectations, and reporting requirements.
• Support and monitor energy-saving and sustainability initiatives across the premises.

Qualifications and experience

The employer is seeking someone with a bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a similar discipline, along with at least 5 years of experience managing commercial fit-out projects in the construction and real estate sector.

Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, regulations, and approval workflows is important, along with the ability to manage multiple complex projects at once and deliver them on schedule and within budget.

Applicants should be comfortable using project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera, and AutoCAD, plus standard business software like Excel and Word. The role also calls for excellent planning, organization, time management, data analysis, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder coordination skills.

The ideal candidate can work independently with minimal oversight, contribute effectively as part of a team, and think strategically with solid awareness of business planning, compliance, and regulatory obligations.
