Production Manager – Dolomite Quarry

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Direct the Load & Haul operation across a substantial mobile fleet, making sure material is moved safely and efficiently.
• Deliver production results against plan through strong scheduling, coordination, and quick decisions on the ground.
• Improve fleet use, cycle timing, payload efficiency, and haul routing to raise output while reducing operating cost.
• Work closely with operations, maintenance, and FMS teams to improve equipment availability and overall productivity.
• Champion a robust safety culture and ensure compliance with HSE requirements and safe work practices.
• Review operating data to spot performance gaps and implement initiatives that improve results.
• Guide, coach, and manage supervisors and frontline employees to maintain consistent operational performance.
• Ensure production plans are met in line with mine sequencing and shifting operational priorities.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience leading large quarry or mining operations, particularly in Load & Haul environments. You should be comfortable running high-volume fleet operations in a continuous production setting and understand how to use fleet management systems and operational data to drive better performance.

This role also calls for strong leadership skills, with the ability to supervise, coach, and develop large teams. Commercial awareness is important, especially around productivity, cost control, and efficiency. A firm commitment to safety leadership and continuous improvement is also essential.
