Role Overview
Gallagher Ireland, part of the Arthur J. Gallagher Group, one of the largest insurance brokerage groups in the world, is hiring a Personal Lines Retention Handler. The role can be based in either the Dublin or Limerick office and is offered as a full-time, permanent position. The Ireland team brings together more than 100 years of combined insurance experience and provides business, personal, and financial insurance solutions to protect what matters most to customers.
What You Will Do
- Reach out to existing clients ahead of renewals to keep coverage in place and support customer satisfaction.
- Engage clients to understand their needs, respond to concerns, and recommend suitable insurance options.
- Handle renewal activity for personal lines policies, ensuring processes are completed accurately and on time while looking for ways to improve cover.
- Develop trusted client relationships and serve as a dependable contact for insurance-related questions.
- Deal with client complaints and issues quickly and professionally to protect the client experience.
- Spot chances to offer additional insurance products and services that fit client requirements.
- Keep up with market developments, competitor activity, and industry trends to provide relevant and competitive advice.
- Maintain precise client records, produce retention reports, and share performance insights with management.
Candidate Profile
- At least APA qualification is required.
- Previous experience in customer service, sales, or retention is expected, preferably in personal lines insurance.
- A solid understanding of personal lines insurance products and services is important.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, plus the ability to build trust and rapport with clients.
- Good problem-solving ability and a practical approach to resolving client concerns.
- Completion of the required annual CPD hours and ongoing compliance with the Minimum Competency Code.
- Comfort using CRM platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
