Role Overview
This position oversees front office activity overnight while ensuring that daily financial records are complete, accurate, and properly closed. The role blends guest support with accounting and audit tasks so the hotel can transition cleanly into the next business day.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out the nightly review of hotel transactions.
- Check and match room income, food and beverage revenue, and any other departmental charges.
- Reconcile cash, card payments, and other accepted payment types.
- Spot variances, look into mismatches, and escalate any unusual findings.
- Close the business day and advance the property management system to the following day.
- Compile and share daily financial and operational summaries with management.
Administrative Duties
- Keep clear and accurate records of all overnight activity.
- Complete the required logs and reporting documents.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and internal control standards.
- Pass important updates and any unresolved matters to the morning team.
Safety and Security
- Oversee hotel security throughout the night shift.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and incidents as they arise.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and security requirements.
- Work with security staff whenever support is needed.
