Network Engineer L2/L3

Role Overview

We are hiring a Network Engineer at L2/L3 level for a Pune-based role. The position is suited to professionals with strong enterprise networking experience, especially in environments that require round-the-clock support, disciplined incident handling, and close coordination with multiple stakeholders.

Technical Expertise

• Deep practical knowledge of routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP, along with switching technologies including Cisco ACI, NX-OS, VLANs, VPC, HSRP/VRRP, Catalyst, and ASR/CSR platforms.
• Experience working with enterprise-grade security appliances, with Fortigate preferred and exposure to Checkpoint or Juniper firewalls being valuable.
• Working familiarity with load-balancing platforms such as F5 LTM/GTM and VIPRION, including concepts like VIPs, pools, SNAT, SSL, and PKI.
• Hands-on experience with DNS/DHCP tools such as Infoblox, proxy solutions like Zscaler or Bluecoat, and basic scripting or automation.
• Ability to diagnose network and application connectivity problems using utilities such as Wireshark, tcpdump, traceroute, nslookup, and dig.
• Exposure to monitoring and automation ecosystems including Spectrum, NetBrain, Observe, and Ansible.

Experience Profile

This role calls for 6+ years of experience in network operations or support, preferably in large enterprise setups. You should be comfortable working in a 24x7 global support model and be capable of taking ownership of issues through to resolution.

A solid working understanding of ITIL processes, including Incident, Change, and Problem Management, along with tools such as ServiceNow, is expected. Strong analytical ability, clear communication, stakeholder management, and the ability to stay effective under pressure are also important. Exposure to the BFSI domain will be considered an advantage.
