Role overview
Equans is hiring a Multi Site Caretaker to support operations across all Rotherham schools, with the base location at Wath Academy, S63 7NW. This is a permanent, full-time position offering 40 hours each week and a yearly salary of £27,476.80.
Working pattern

What you will do
In this role, you will act as a key holder and handle day-to-day site support across the schools. The job covers general site management, including waste and litter clearance, planned and reactive maintenance, upkeep of outdoor areas, seasonal preparation of external spaces, porterage, reception cover, security support, and serving as an important point of contact between Equans and the school. A strong eye for detail and practical DIY ability are essential.
What we are looking for
We are seeking someone with a valid full UK driving licence, experience in a trade or a comparable hands-on role, strong customer service ability, and the confidence to organise tasks independently. You should be comfortable taking initiative, have experience with health and safety practices such as manual handling and working at height, and understand COSHH guidance and colour coding.
Benefits and support
Equans offers a broad benefits package, including annual leave, life cover, shopping and gym discounts, a cycle-to-work scheme, holiday purchase options, paid social impact days, learning and development support, referral rewards, employee network communities, and wellbeing support through an employee assistance programme and mental wellbeing app.
