Role overview
YSQ International is seeking a Warehouse & Logistics Manager to oversee and strengthen warehouse and logistics operations across multiple sites in Singapore. The role focuses on standardising processes, maintaining compliance, controlling costs, and improving day-to-day operational performance.
Key responsibilities
- Create, roll out, and keep improving uniform warehouse and logistics policies, SOPs, and work instructions across all locations.
- Make sure operational practices support company goals, financial controls, and all relevant legal and regulatory obligations.
- Define and maintain clear operating rules for warehouse activities, including inventory management, storage, and material handling.
- Oversee inbound and outbound workflows from receiving through to dispatch.
- Set standards for warehouse layout, bin coding, and system transactions.
- Manage logistics planning such as shipment scheduling, transport mode selection, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Apply knowledge of Incoterms, customs compliance, and transport-related regulatory requirements.
- Control freight spend, coordinate with service providers, and manage transit risk and insurance considerations.
- Ensure HQ policies and standards are implemented consistently across every site.
- Carry out audits to check compliance, spot process gaps, and implement corrective actions.
- Track site performance, resolve major operational issues, and lead continuous improvement efforts.
Required profile
- A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline is required.
- Applicants should have solid experience in a warehouse management or similar position, preferably within a manufacturing setting and ideally in FMCG.
- Working knowledge of SAP or another warehouse management system (WMS) is expected.
- The role calls for strong leadership and communication skills, including the ability to guide, motivate, and develop teams.
- Good organisational thinking and strong problem-solving skills are essential.
- Familiarity with health and safety rules as well as warehouse best practices is important.
- Success in a fast-moving, dynamic work environment is expected.
