A major part of the job is making sure freight invoices are reviewed correctly, payments are validated, and audit standards are followed. In addition, the analyst contributes to dangerous goods compliance, reporting, and data analysis that helps leaders make better decisions.

Operations and Transportation Management

  • Serve as the transportation subject matter resource for U.S. entities including PLS, PCNA, PDoA, and PMNA.
  • Track shipments from the point of origin through final delivery and help keep the process moving smoothly.
  • Coordinate with and monitor external transportation partners across ocean, air, DDS, trucking, and parcel services.
  • Support PDC teams in maintaining reliable service, consistent quality, and stable operations.

Freight Audit, Payment, and Financial Controls

  • Oversee the freight invoice approval workflow to ensure bills are accurate, complete, and processed on time.
  • Act as the main contact for freight audit partners and help resolve performance or billing issues.
  • Review freight invoices and audit outcomes to spot billing errors, major cost drivers, and savings opportunities.
  • Prepare recurring reports and brief management on audit patterns, findings, and trends.
  • Keep logistics activity aligned with financial results and control requirements.

Analytics and Reporting

  • Create and maintain dashboards and reporting tools using Excel, Power BI, and VBA.
  • Study transportation spend, service performance, claims, damage trends, and carrier results on an ongoing basis.
  • Use analytical methods to uncover patterns, anticipate outcomes, and support improvement efforts.

Process Improvement and Standardization

  • Work with logistics leadership to improve workflows, lower costs, and strengthen service performance.
  • Build and maintain standard operating procedures for key logistics activities.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement throughout the PDC network and help put them into practice.
  • Review packaging and handling methods to reduce damage and improve efficiency.

Dangerous Goods and Compliance

  • Support dangerous goods compliance across all PDC locations.
  • Train and certify employees on dangerous goods handling and packaging expectations.
  • Develop training materials and ensure they remain aligned with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Industrial Engineering is preferred. An IATA Dangerous Goods Trainer certification or a DGR Category 6 certificate is also preferred.

Relevant experience in domestic or international logistics, supply chain, or operations is desirable, along with working knowledge of hazardous materials, safety, or cargo operations. Experience in freight auditing, invoice validation, or financial controls is also valued.

The role calls for strong analytical thinking, solid problem-solving ability, and comfort working with large datasets and reporting tools. Clear communication, strong organization, attention to detail, the ability to juggle multiple priorities, and a collaborative mindset are all important. A self-driven approach, customer focus, and coaching or mentoring ability are useful. Strong command of Microsoft Office tools is expected, especially Excel, with Power BI and VBA considered strong advantages. English fluency is required, and Spanish or German would be a plus.
