Junior Sous Chef - Pastry

About the Role

Park Hyatt Doha is looking for a pastry-focused culinary professional who is imaginative, meticulous, and ready to step into a junior leadership position. In this role, you will work closely with the Pastry Sous Chef to support the pastry section and help produce elegant desserts and baked creations that match the hotel’s luxury standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the smooth running of daily pastry kitchen operations.
• Develop and prepare refined pastries, desserts, and baked products of high quality.
• Maintain consistency in taste, finishing, and visual presentation in line with brand expectations.
• Guide, coach, and supervise junior pastry staff on techniques and workflow.
• Follow strict hygiene, food safety, and storage practices at all times.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience in pastry work within a luxury hotel or fine-dining setting.
• Solid knowledge of both traditional and contemporary pastry methods.
• Ability to lead, support, and develop team members effectively.
• Strong creativity with a sharp eye for detail in plating, flavor, and presentation.
• A culinary qualification or related certification is an advantage.
