Key duties

• Keep shelves, fixtures, windows, and floors clean by dusting, sweeping, and vacuuming when needed.
• Support bottle room upkeep, including basic machine maintenance, clearing full bins, and returning bins.
• Clean restrooms each day by sweeping and mopping floors, sanitizing sinks and toilets, and restocking paper and toiletry supplies.
• Disinfect shopping carts and maintain the cart return area.
• Put misplaced items back on shelves and keep the surrounding area tidy.
• Clear sidewalks of trash, clutter, and debris, and help with ice or snow removal in colder weather as needed.
• Use standard cleaning tools and supplies such as brooms, mops, floor scrubbers, dusters, and store cleaning chemicals.
• Remove trash from indoor and outdoor bins.
• Follow PPE, safety, food safety, cleaning, and guest experience standards.
• Support other departments when customer experience needs require it.
• Take on additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• You should be able to communicate clearly and courteously with customers.
• Strong customer service habits, good organization, and attention to detail are important.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills are necessary.

Physical and work conditions

This role may require frequent lifting or moving of up to 30 pounds, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. It involves standing and walking for long periods, with regular bending, stooping, twisting, and turning.

Work is performed in a retail store environment with changing temperatures and occasional exposure to outdoor weather. Noise levels are usually low to moderate. Travel needs may vary depending on assignment.
