Role Summary
This is a full-time, on-site position in Ludhiana for an Inventory Specialist. The role centers on tracking stock availability, carrying out routine physical counts, and matching any differences between actual stock and the system records. You will receive incoming products, apply labels, arrange items properly, and ensure that every stock movement is entered correctly. The job also involves rotating stock to reduce the risk of damage or items becoming outdated, working closely with sales and store teams to meet stock requirements, preparing simple inventory reports, and supporting scheduled audits. In addition, you will help keep storage areas tidy and safe while following company rules for product handling and storage.
Responsibilities
- Monitor stock quantities and keep inventory records aligned with actual store levels.
- Carry out regular physical counts and investigate any mismatches in stock data.
- Receive incoming goods, label them correctly, and place them in the appropriate storage areas.
- Record stock movement accurately in the inventory system.
- Rotate products as needed to help prevent damage or ageing of stock.
- Coordinate with sales and store teams to process stock requests efficiently.
- Prepare straightforward inventory summaries and assist with periodic stock audits.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe storage spaces while following handling procedures.
Qualifications
Applicants should have a solid understanding of physical inventory checks, stock control, and inventory operations, along with the ability to maintain accurate records. Good communication and customer service skills are needed to work well with internal teams and external stakeholders. Basic computer knowledge is required, including comfort with inventory or POS tools; spreadsheet experience is an added advantage. Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and good organizational ability are important for success in this role. The work may require standing, moving around, and lifting moderate weights while following safety practices. Prior experience in retail, warehouse, or inventory-related work is preferred but not essential. A high school diploma or an equivalent qualification is required, and additional training in inventory, logistics, or supply chain is a plus.
