Role summary
This full-time, on-site position in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia is responsible for supporting industrial cleaning and vacuum operations, assisting with hydrovac and daylighting tasks, and contributing to CCTV inspection work for pipelines and underground infrastructure. The role combines hands-on equipment operation with site support, job documentation, and customer-facing communication.
Key duties
In this role, you will carry out routine and urgent cleaning assignments, follow work instructions carefully, and help keep job sites safe, orderly, and aligned with company standards. You will also load and unload equipment, manage waste materials in accordance with applicable rules, complete basic equipment checks, and maintain accurate records of services performed. The job requires close coordination with supervisors, technicians, and clients, along with prompt response to emergency service needs and consistent support for a safe, team-oriented, high-standard service environment.
Qualifications
The position calls for strong people skills and the ability to work well in a field-based team setting. Clear communication and customer service ability are important for dealing professionally with clients, colleagues, and supervisors. Experience with service coordination and customer satisfaction is useful for handling requests, recording completed work, and supporting a positive client experience.
Hands-on experience with industrial or construction machinery such as vacuum trucks or hydrovac units is an advantage. A strong commitment to safety is essential, including following company safety procedures, using personal protective equipment, and taking part in safety training. The work also requires physical stamina, the ability to work in changing weather conditions, and willingness to handle longer or irregular shifts when needed.
A valid driver’s license is required, and commercial driving experience or related certifications are considered beneficial. Prior work in industrial services, environmental services, or a similar field is preferred, although it is not mandatory because training may be provided on the job.
