Role overview

Meta Reality Labs is building the next wave of technology, and its Industrial Design team plays a key role in turning advanced hardware concepts into real products. The ideal candidate brings a track record of developing exceptional solutions, along with both strategic judgment and practical design execution.

What you will do

• Create and refine products that help define the category.
• Blend user needs, visual appeal, and technical understanding to address complicated design challenges.
• Work across teams in a complex, cross-functional setting.
• Develop thoughtful, effective solutions for ergonomic and mechanical issues.
• Contribute ideas and solve problems across one or more active projects.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or a closely related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience building consumer electronics or wearable technology products.
• Strong ability to communicate ideas, visualize concepts, and solve problems.
• Confident use of Rhino 3D, Solidworks, Creo, or NX.
• Hands-on experience with 2D concept exploration and physical prototyping.
• Comfort working in highly uncertain or ambiguous environments.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience designing products intended for mass production.
• Ability to apply AI tools to improve or redesign workflows and produce measurable gains such as better efficiency or quality.
• Knowledge of responsible and ethical AI practices, including risk evaluation, bias reduction, and review for quality and accuracy.
• Ongoing development of AI capabilities, such as prompt or context engineering and agent orchestration, along with awareness of emerging AI technologies.

Compensation and benefits

The base salary range for this position is $144,000 to $204,000 per year, with additional bonus, equity, and benefits. Final compensation depends on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
