About the Role

As a Human Resources Assistant, you will help keep the HR function running smoothly by providing organized, reliable support across core people operations. This position is well suited to someone who enjoys working with others, stays detail-focused, and takes pride in handling confidential information with care.
The role covers a broad mix of administrative and operational HR work, including hiring support, onboarding, employee relations, record keeping, compliance tracking, and internal communication. You will work closely with the HR team to ensure processes are handled efficiently and in line with company policies and employment regulations.
Recruitment and Hiring Support
- Help coordinate recruitment activities, including job postings, application review, and interview scheduling.
- Keep candidates informed and support communication throughout the hiring process.
- Draft offer letters, employment agreements, and onboarding paperwork.
- Update recruitment files and applicant tracking records.
Onboarding and HR Administration
- Organize new hire orientation and onboarding activities.
- Set up employee records and ensure all required forms and documents are completed.
- Respond to routine HR questions and requests from employees.
- Maintain accurate files, databases, and record-keeping systems.
HR Operations and Compliance
- Keep employee information current, accurate, and aligned with internal policies and legal requirements.
- Assist with monitoring HR processes and compliance standards.
- Prepare HR reports, summaries, metrics, and supporting documentation.
- Help administer workplace policies, handbooks, and procedures.
Employee Engagement and Internal Support
- Assist with engagement activities, learning programs, and company events.
- Support performance review processes and employee development initiatives.
- Coordinate HR announcements and other internal communication.
- Build positive working relationships across departments.
General Administrative Support
- Manage HR emails, calendars, and meeting arrangements.
- Prepare presentations, reports, and other HR documents.
- Organize and protect confidential personnel files.
- Provide administrative assistance to the HR Manager and leadership team when needed.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma, Associate’s degree, or Bachelor’s degree is acceptable.
- Strong ability to stay organized and manage multiple priorities.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to treat sensitive information confidentially and exercise good judgment.
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
