Role Overview
Jaybird Senior Living is hiring a Housekeeper to help keep its senior living community clean, safe, and inviting. In this role, you will help create a comfortable environment for residents, guests, and coworkers by delivering attentive service and maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the property.
What You’ll Do
- Carry out weekly housekeeping duties, along with any extra tasks listed in a resident’s Individualized Service Plan.
- Track, request, organize, and store cleaning and laundry supplies responsibly.
- Handle cleaning products and personal protective equipment in a safe, proper manner.
- Keep resident apartments, shared spaces, dining areas, and other community areas clean and orderly.
- Watch for unsafe conditions or hazards and bring them to management’s attention right away.
- Record maintenance concerns and raise work orders when needed.
- Respond correctly if smoke or fire alarms sound.
- Answer incoming calls politely and provide help to residents, visitors, and team members as required.
- Take part in safety committees, staff meetings, and bi-weekly training sessions.
- Protect resident and company information by following confidentiality rules and HIPAA requirements.
- Follow OSHA standards and state rules that apply to assisted living communities.
- Prepare incident reports for residents, yourself, or coworkers whenever an incident occurs.
