Role Overview
This contract role is for a Romanized Hindi transcription specialist who will work remotely. The position involves turning spoken and written Romanized Hindi into accurate text, while also reviewing automated outputs, adding annotations, and maintaining high quality across all deliverables.
Compensation and Commitment
The pay range for this assignment is $8 to $16 per hour. The expected workload is flexible, ranging from 10 to 40 hours each week.
Key Responsibilities
- Convert Romanized Hindi audio and text into clear, accurate written transcripts.
- Check machine-generated or automated transcripts and fix errors where needed.
- Attach detailed metadata labels and context-based notes to audio and text files.
- Keep transcription output consistent, linguistically sound, and accurate throughout the project.
- Work with the client team to follow project instructions and quality standards.
- Handle deadlines effectively while managing several transcription tasks at once.
Requirements
- Strong fluency in Romanized Hindi, including the ability to read, write, and understand spoken content.
- Prior transcription experience with a strong focus on precision and quality.
- Hands-on experience with metadata tagging and annotation work.
- Ability to identify and correct mistakes in automated transcripts.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, along with a professional and careful approach to the work.
