Role overview
The K Club is hiring a Greenkeeper to join its Resort Operations team. The resort is moving ahead with refurbishment work on the Palmer North fairways, including removing 60mm of topsoil to improve drainage and introducing premium seed. To support this grow-in programme and keep both courses and the wider landscape at championship standard, the resort is also adding four permanent greenkeeping positions.
About the resort
The K Club is a distinctive leisure destination set in the Irish countryside, within easy reach of Dublin. Spread across 550 acres, the resort has a long and celebrated history and offers a wide range of career paths. Team members are encouraged to contribute ideas, bring forward improvements and help shape the resort’s forward-thinking culture.
What you will do
- Carry out turf mowing across greens, tees, fairways, roughs, parkways and clubhouse grounds.
- Support bunker grooming, edging and raking, along with topdressing work and tree trimming.
- Help with improvement works on the course, including drainage, irrigation, and enhancements to greens and tees.
- Assist with waste handling and sorting at the waste depot.
- Take part in wider landscape upkeep such as seasonal planting, grass cutting, pruning, mulching, edging, hedge trimming, and other reasonable maintenance tasks.
What you should bring
Previous experience in greenkeeping, golf course maintenance, or landscaping is preferred. A qualification in horticultural studies would be an advantage. The role calls for strong communication skills, the ability to learn quickly, a flexible attitude, and comfort working in a busy, fast-moving environment. A full driving licence is required.
Benefits and support
Employees receive transport support to and from work outside public transport hours within the local area, access to internal and external training, opportunities to progress, a monthly recognition programme, an Employee Assistance Programme, social events, a uniform, hot meals while on duty, resort and food-and-beverage discounts for staff and their family and friends, and life assurance.
Data retention
Applications and CVs submitted for this role will be retained for 12 months. If you do not want your information kept after the recruitment process ends, you should state this when submitting your application.
