Role Overview
This freelance visual design role is embedded within the creative team and supports a wide range of marketing and brand projects. The position calls for a designer with a strong sense of typography, layout, detail, and visual consistency who can work confidently inside brand systems, templates, and campaign frameworks.
In this role, you will translate art direction into polished assets, contribute practical design solutions when needed, and help maintain a high creative standard across all outputs. The ideal candidate is collaborative, responsive, organized, and able to keep pace with a busy production environment without sacrificing quality.
What You Will Do
- Create polished visual assets for web, social media, email, direct mail, and in-store signage.
- Partner closely with the Art Director and other stakeholders to develop effective design solutions for campaigns.
- Handle several projects at once while staying on schedule and meeting quality expectations.
- Prepare final production-ready files and follow the team’s naming, workflow, and quality control practices.
- Act as a dependable member of the internal creative team and communicate clearly throughout each project.
What the Team Is Looking For
- A trained design eye with strong command over typography, layout, hierarchy, color, and composition.
- Ability to work comfortably within established brand guidelines, templates, and campaign systems.
- Ease in taking feedback and applying direction quickly and accurately.
- Capacity to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-moving setting.
- Experience producing digital marketing creative for web, email, and social channels.
- Strong organization skills, including proper file naming, file structure, and documentation habits.
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with designers, copywriters, and cross-functional partners.
- A self-driven, dependable, and responsive working style.
- Ability to adapt a concept across different sizes and formats while preserving visual consistency.
- Comfort using Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Photoshop and Illustrator.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of professional experience, or an equivalent educational background, in graphic design or a related field.
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects.
- Hands-on proficiency with Figma is required.
- Solid understanding of typography, color theory, composition, spacing, hierarchy, and concept development.
- Experience working in a collaborative design team environment.
- Ability to explain and defend design choices to both creative and non-creative audiences.
- Highly organized file management and layered working methods that support team review and handoff.
- Comfortable balancing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience creating GIFs, animations, or motion graphics for social and email is preferred.
Industry Exposure
No prior motorcycle expertise is required. The company is willing to teach the industry. What matters most is curiosity, a willingness to learn about riders and their needs, and interest in the products and community the brands serve.
Compensation and Location
The pay range for this freelance role is $50 to $55 per hour, depending on experience. Philadelphia-based freelancers may work from the office 1 to 3 days per week.
