Freelance Presentation Designer

Role overview

Mindrift is seeking a seasoned Presentation Designer for the Tendem project, where human expertise works alongside AI to support sophisticated storytelling workflows. This is a freelance, part-time remote opportunity suited to a creative specialist who can transform information into polished, high-impact presentations.

In this position, you will work with Tendem Agents that manage repetitive work, while you contribute the judgment, domain knowledge, and design execution needed to produce refined slide decks and one-pagers for demanding use cases. The work calls for strong visual communication, information design, and storytelling skills.

The broader Mindrift platform brings together subject matter experts and AI-driven projects from leading technology innovators, with the goal of applying real-world expertise to advance generative AI systems.

What you'll do

• Create persuasive pitch decks and executive one-pagers customized for specific audiences.
• Turn dense data and complex narratives into clean, visually structured storytelling with a minimalist approach.
• Improve presentations through thoughtful typography, custom font usage, subtle animations, and consistent visual styling.
• Maintain a polished look that balances corporate professionalism with a creative edge across all deliverables.
• Check alignment, pacing, formatting, and brand consistency carefully before handing off final assets.

Tools and working style

You are expected to work with presentation and design tools such as PowerPoint, Keynote, Adobe Creative Suite, or Figma to build dynamic, visually refined materials.

Requirements

• About 2 or more years of relevant experience in graphic design, presentation design, visual storytelling, or data visualization is preferred.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communications, or a related creative discipline is an advantage.
• Strong command of presentation software such as PowerPoint and Keynote for complex, animated deck creation.
• Advanced ability in Adobe Creative Suite tools like Illustrator and Photoshop, or in Figma, for graphics and layout work.
• Capability to simplify layered data and information structures into clear, minimal, audience-friendly visuals.
• Confident handling of typography and smooth animation to produce premium-quality output.
• English proficiency at upper-intermediate level (B2) or higher is required.
• Experience producing high-end presentation layouts with a corporate-meets-creative feel is important.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to exceptionally clean visual execution are expected.
• Ability to work independently and solve design challenges without close supervision.
• Your CV must include a portfolio link showing relevant presentations, pitch decks, and data visualization work; applications without this will not be considered.

Workload and compensation

Estimated workload during active phases is around 10 to 20 hours per week. This is an estimate rather than a fixed guarantee, and it applies only while the project is active.

Contributors may earn up to the equivalent of $50 per hour on this project, depending on experience and pace of work. Compensation can differ across projects based on scope, complexity, and required expertise.
