Finance Specialist

Role summary

This contract opportunity is for a finance professional to support a client in a remote, work-from-anywhere arrangement. The work centers on investment banking, private equity, and structured finance activities, with a focus on financial analysis, deal evaluation, and financing strategy.

Compensation

The engagement is priced at $45 to $120 per hour.

What you will do

• Build and assess financial models for investment banking and private equity assignments.
• Review potential investment opportunities and study market movements through due diligence.
• Design and analyze structured finance transactions, including leveraged buyouts and debt-based funding.
• Prepare financial forecasts, valuation work, and transaction memos.
• Work with teams across functions to evaluate risk and improve capital structure decisions.

Required background and capabilities

• At least 5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or structured finance.
• Strong command of financial modeling, valuation methods, and Excel.
• Good knowledge of leveraged finance, debt structures, and capital markets.
• Hands-on experience with LBO modeling, DCF analysis, and mergers and acquisitions.
• Clear communication and strong analytical ability for explaining complex finance concepts.
