You will combine practical accounting expertise with ownership of process redesign, helping move key finance activities in-house while improving control, accuracy, and reporting quality. What you'll do

• Run payment workflows with strong attention to accuracy, timing, and financial controls.
• Compile monthly and yearly financial statements in line with HGB requirements and ensure reporting remains compliant and dependable.
• Own accounting operations and support the transition of finance work from external handling to internal teams.
• Coordinate accounting across multiple entities, including consolidation for three legal entities.
• Work with external tax specialists on VAT, compliance, and related tax matters.
• Review current accounting structures and introduce improvements that raise efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
• Keep bookkeeping standards consistently high and ensure finance reporting remains aligned across the organization.
• Develop effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners in German and international settings.
• Assess existing accounting processes during the initial months and create a practical roadmap for insourcing.
• Lead the insourcing of accounting for the German entity and establish reliable, scalable financial processes.

What we're looking for

• At least 8 years of experience in accounting, financial accounting, or a closely related finance role.
• Deep working knowledge of HGB accounting standards and German tax rules.
• Professional fluency in both German and English, spoken and written.
• Demonstrated experience with multi-entity accounting and consolidation.
• Strong precision, with a clear commitment to compliance and accurate work.
• A structured, self-directed, and dependable approach with strong ownership.
• Excellent communication skills paired with an analytical, solution-focused mindset.
• Familiarity with ERP or accounting platforms such as DATEV, NetSuite, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics is beneficial.
• Experience in fast-growing, international, or digital-first environments is an added advantage.
• Prior involvement in accounting process improvement or insourcing programs is highly valued.
