Façade Designer

About the role

Arup is seeking a Façade Designer in Singapore to support consultancy work across building envelopes, including façade, glazing, cladding, wall and roofing systems. This position sits within a collaborative technical environment where you will help shape high-quality, innovative solutions for a variety of projects while strengthening your design, modelling, client interaction and delivery capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Support senior colleagues with façade and building envelope studies, concept development, digital modelling, technical investigation, and project calculations.
• Draft specifications, reports, presentation material, tender documents, and other project deliverables with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
• Help drive project delivery by tracking timelines, contributing to performance outcomes, and communicating effectively with clients and other stakeholders.
• Assist in upholding quality management processes, compliance expectations, and workplace health and safety standards across assignments.
• Maintain relationships with existing clients and represent the team in meetings, presentations, and project conversations.

What you should bring

• A recognised tertiary qualification in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, together with relevant experience in façade, building envelope, or sustainability-related design.
• Hands-on ability with digital design and modelling tools such as Rhino/Grasshopper, Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD, Strand7, IES, Ecotect, Therm, or equivalent software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to produce clear technical documentation and work well with varied stakeholders.
• A proactive, solution-oriented approach, supported by strong planning skills and the ability to juggle multiple deadlines and priorities.
• A commitment to ongoing learning, professional growth, and consistently delivering high-quality outcomes in a team-based setting.
