Overview
This contract opportunity is for a .NET Developer II working fully remotely, with the client tied to Chattanooga, TN. The assignment is expected to last 3 months, and there is a possibility it could be extended. This role is limited to W2 employment.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline is preferred, although equivalent professional experience may be accepted. For equivalency, one year of technical experience is treated as one year of college requested.
Experience and Background
- Bring 5 to 7 years of experience in systems analysis and programming using .NET.
- Hands-on experience with Facets Batch C# is required.
- Experience with 834 Medicare Enrollment is an advantage.
- Strong working knowledge of SQL Server is needed.
- Prior experience in the health insurance industry is preferred.
- You should understand core IT concepts, application development methods, terminology, and standards.
- You must be able to organize priorities, manage multiple assignments, and coordinate supporting resources.
- You should be able to explain technical and complex topics clearly to both technical teams and business stakeholders.
Skills and Certifications
- Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Solid analytical, design, and coding capability with a track record of driving medium to complex technical initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Gather information through research and analysis to define system products and objectives, then design, build, adjust, or integrate complex information systems.
- Create or update application systems and workflows so they better support performance, capacity, turnaround time, and output requirements.
- Develop, test, troubleshoot, and document programs, subroutines, and scripts.
- Contribute as a project lead, business systems analyst, or technical lead on smaller efforts, or manage defined phases of larger initiatives.
- Operate effectively at advanced stages of application systems analysis and programming work.
- Improve existing system designs so they continue to support changing business needs.
- Partner with business users and business systems analysts to capture requirements and convert them into technical specifications.
- Create and execute program and system testing plans, including methods for validating data and standard procedures.
- Keep technical knowledge current across languages, databases, platforms, operating systems, utilities, and networks required for the assignment.
- Help prepare and maintain application design documents.
- Respond to outages and performance incidents by applying corrective actions to reduce downtime and prevent repeat issues.
- May deliver presentations that help end users understand and use the systems more effectively.
- Provide technical direction on assigned projects or discovery work.
- May coordinate work allocations and review the output of other analysts and programmers.
- Regularly coach and support less experienced analysts and programmers.
Additional Information
The client is a federal contractor and may be required to implement a COVID-19 vaccine mandate. This is a W2-only engagement.
