Demand & Supply Planner

Role Overview

ANC is seeking a Demand & Supply Planner to strengthen forecasting and capacity planning across a national logistics network. This position supports medium- and long-range planning so the business can respond to customer demand effectively while scaling in a sustainable way.

You will work across first mile, middle mile, and last mile planning, helping the organisation spot future bottlenecks, improve network use, and make better decisions using data. Your work will influence operational preparedness, fleet and labour planning, and wider strategic initiatives that support strong customer service outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Create demand forecasts and capacity plans covering a 3 to 12 month planning window.
• Build forecasting models using historical performance, seasonal patterns, customer growth, and other key business inputs.
• Review trends, seasonality, and operational data to refine forecast accuracy.
• Spot capacity shortfalls, operational risks, and network constraints before they affect service.
• Develop scenario-based planning models to guide decision-making.
• Collaborate with Operations, Commercial, Finance, and Account teams to agree on planning assumptions.
• Support S&OP and integrated planning activities.
• Share analysis that informs fleet, labour, and network planning.
• Track performance and identify ways to improve efficiency and utilisation.
• Help improve planning processes, reporting methods, and tools over time.

Skills and Experience Needed

• At least 3 to 5+ years of experience in demand planning, transport planning, logistics, or supply chain functions.
• Background in logistics, transport, FMCG, retail, eCommerce, or a comparable environment.
• Demonstrated ability to create forecasting models and manage capacity planning.
• Good understanding of integrated planning and cross-functional ways of working.
• Experience with scenario modelling, data analysis, and business reporting.
• Exposure to planning software, forecasting systems, or optimisation tools.
• Advanced Excel capability and strong data modelling skills.
• Experience using Power BI or similar reporting platforms.
• Strong analytical ability and the capacity to turn findings into practical actions.
• Sound knowledge of forecasting approaches and transport/logistics operations.
• A proactive, improvement-focused mindset with strong commercial awareness.
• Collaborative style, able to partner effectively across teams.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with changing priorities.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.
• Confident communicator who can influence stakeholders.
• Calm under pressure with good prioritisation skills.
