Delivery Driver

Role overview

Ateliers Jacob is looking for a delivery driver to handle pickups and deliveries of different goods and products using cars, vans, and light trucks. This position is based in St-Jérôme, Quebec, and the work must be done in person at the physical site; remote work is not available.

Language requirement

French is required for this role.

Education and experience

No formal degree, certificate, or diploma is needed. The role calls for 2 years to less than 3 years of relevant experience.

Key duties

• Drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to collect and deliver a variety of items and products.
• Interact with customers in a professional and service-oriented manner.
• Load and unload goods safely and efficiently.
• Use directions and maps to navigate routes.
• Provide customer support during deliveries and pickups.
• Complete pre-trip, en route, and post-trip vehicle inspections and monitor vehicle condition throughout the trip.

Licensing and credentials

• Valid Class 5/5F/G driver’s licence for cars, small trucks, and other 2-axle vehicles.

Working conditions and physical demands

• Strong attention to detail is important.
• The job involves handling heavy loads.
• Items handled may weigh up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• Steel-toed safety boots are required.
