Key responsibilities
- Build, improve, and support dependable scraping scripts and applications that pull data from different online sources.
- Collect information from multiple websites, including pages with both static and dynamically loaded content.
- Process raw scraped data by cleaning, checking, and organizing it so it is accurate and ready for analysis.
- Keep scraping workflows running smoothly by tracking data quality, resolving failures, and applying fixes where needed.
- Work with teammates to clarify data needs and expected outputs so the final deliverables match project requirements.
- Maintain clear documentation for scraping methods and keep code organized for reuse and scaling in future work.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience creating and supporting web scrapers with Python, Scrapy, Selenium, or similar tools.
- Strong working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and how web systems communicate.
- Comfort working with APIs, REST-style endpoints, and structured formats such as JSON and XML.
- Ability to clean, transform, and store data using relational databases or NoSQL systems.
- Understanding of web security basics and ethical scraping practices.
