Overview
This contract role is for an AI Audio Rater focused on English for the US and Canada. The work is fully remote and pays $25 per hour, with bi-weekly payments. The assignment is planned for 2 to 3 months, and the start date is immediate.
The schedule is flexible, though the strongest contributors may work 40+ hours each week.
Responsibilities
- Produce clear, natural spoken audio in line with the project’s instructions.
- Check audio samples for quality, correctness, and subtle differences in delivery.
- Assess AI-generated outputs for technical correctness and answer quality.
- Inspect JSON-based task data, confirm its structure, and identify errors.
- Keep output consistent across a large number of tasks.
- Report unclear responses and any conflicts or gaps in the guidelines.
- Help maintain quality benchmarks across AI training and evaluation work.
Requirements
- Native-level US English or Canadian English accent with clear pronunciation.
- Solid ability to read, validate, and troubleshoot JSON data, including formatting and structural issues.
- Comfort with technical topics and coding-related concepts.
- Strong focus on detail and sound analytical judgment.
- Ability to work from written instructions and structured procedures.
- A quiet recording environment with very little background noise.
- Stable internet access and a working computer.
Nice to Have
- Background in software engineering, QA, technical writing, annotation, transcription, or AI evaluation.
- Experience handling structured datasets or review-based workflows.
- Previous voice or audio work experience, although this is not required.
Application Process

- Attend a paid virtual classroom and take the final assessment.
- Work through paid practice tasks.
- Move into live production work.
Additional Information
The role is a remote contract opportunity available to candidates in the US or Canada. Payment is made every two weeks.
